Wonderful piece of timing, Terracan was serviced at weekend cam belt change and new front tyres and checked out for any other probs, and boy was there one, in that prop shafts front and back need replacing certainly before we go on the trip, or we will be cramming into the skoda octavia would do for certain aspects of forthcoming trip but not all. Have checked local srappies with no luck, and a friend is going to look at Dalcrue auto salvage nr Perth when he passes there today, they have a terracan but I am not getting a reply from them. Might get away with UJ at the front but rear is the whole shaft. So if anyone notices a terracan in there local scrappy can they please pm or email me that would be great.
Derek cheers1

Ps Hyundai want over £1000 for both shafts laughing pound

Good luck with that matey. I have found similar problem with Daihatsu, in that the car itself, excellent value.....but when you need to replace parts...UUGGHHH!!! 1 x CV joint ( whole shaft as no joint end available)...£660.00 mad

Got lucky today got both shafts, stearing idler, track rod ends and a piece of trim( that got damaged offroading a while back) for £350 from dismantlers in Perth, friend picking them up for me so no delivery costs.

Vehicle it has come off had only done 42000 miles shafts will be checked when mate picks them up, so should be ok cheers1

Front UJ yes you can get it seperate, but was nigh on impossible to get in a hurry,(going to France in two weeks time) but the rear one is all one unit and certainly could not find a rear UJ anywhere. Could be wrong of course the places I looked I could not find one. clinking teacups

Mugwump! Been a while, how is the Terracan? Did you fix it ok? Or has the vehicle been replaced? How you doing?
