| They did a book launch at our / their local landrover dealer They had the discovery parked in the middle of the showroom with all the shiney toys around and salemen waiting to pounce What they didn't figure on was a brace of expedition prepared landrovers (including a 127 ambi, my 101 and a 1971 carrawagon) turning up and parking outside. After the book launch and look round the discovery we all retired to the car park to look at the other interesting landrovers leaving a confused bunch of salesmen with angry looks behind the smiles with nothing to do as everyone wanted the details on the interesting vehicles - that was a fun night Peter is also a mine of info on shipping and expedition costings. I've had a long conversations with him about what overland travel costs and what governs those costs (to summarise, cost is based on distance not time, and he has done alot of work on how to get cheaper shipping costs which he is willing to share Tom - you should try and get them down to the show , the home made rooftent is wonderful and its not far for them if they are in leicestershire again. _________________ Rich
