 uk to south africa 2013

im driving from uk through france and spain down through africa to south africa. im looking to get few people to gether to do trip with. have fun an adventure. i have a 95 mitsubishi shogun 2.8 td lwb 4x4. i have put another post up. i have found some ppl 1 is deff other is 50 /50. the trip is still ago leaving still end of 2013.

Sounds like a great laugh. When you go take some photo's and post them on here. We dont see than many Jeep's.

Sounds like an interesting idea. How are your plans progressing? Are you sticking to the rally 30 day schedule? If so, all you will see will be tracks and border posts. Have you considered the political situation (and attitude to outsiders) in Sudan and Ethiopia? Above all, do you have any approximate costings? A ferry from Piraeus to Alexandria will not be cheap in itself I would think.

There aren't many Jeeps in Africa from my experience, so you will need to have a good stock of spares. I'm not trying to put you off; it sounds a great trip but be well prepared and consider how you will feel and how much you will be enjoying it after 20 days of driving mud and gravel tracks. If the driving is the point that's ok but if you want to explore.....I spent four weeks solo in Namibia last year and only really saw the southern half of the country.

alls good still doing trip got myself and two others deff going with me, car is coming on atreeat, but still looking for one more vehicle. i will be sticking pics up as soon as completed. cant wait going to be good.
