Hi, I drive a Seat Leon Fr but I'm currently helping my son repair a 1999 Land Rover Defender TD5. Sadly he's only had it c couple of months and the engine let go so we've had to replace the engine and then we put clutch plate in wrong way round as no markings and next day we took gearbox out. It's been great as I normally need a computer to work on cars. Hopefully we will get along to some events and meet some of you.

Welcome to the forum! cheers

Clutch plate the wrong way around eh? We've all done that sort of thing, although quickly learn never to do it again. My lesson was on a Mk1. Ford Escort as a teenager, fitted the clutch fork back to front. Only realised my mistake when doing the last job - hooking the end of the clutch cable to the fork. Of course it had nothing to hook on to, so out with the gearbox again! Grrrrr!!!! Evil or Very Mad
