Hello,
names Kieran
i come from what some call the north and some the south Mansfield but not for much longer live in Buxton in Derbyshire moving back to mansfield closer to the Free Spirit 4x4 workshop, factory and shop
i have three vehicles...
a Land Rover 90 called pinky ( previously named, bad luck to change names )

some may recognise from LRO last year, the bull bar is normally yellow( see top ten pics ),
a ex military series 2a ambulance called flo, only proof of action is 1 bullet hole in the chassis that has now been welded over thanks to the MOT

and pretty much a shell of a Range rover classic, i have a new engine for it and a stock room full of new parts after a few years of neglect ...

i run a few trips in the uk and europe, and have planned three major expeditions within the next 5 years the thing is a true expedition can't be guided, its down to you,
one of which is in co-operation with a local indian to me to bangladesh
another from Mansfield around the top of the world in the series two ambulance using floaty things to get across the baltic
and also from alaska to cape horn ( the same trip as the trans americas range rover ) no easier now its almost 40 years after

i hope to share what i know and also learn from others here

Cheers kieran

Welcome to the funny farm ... you'll be right at home Kieran. Razz

A suggestion - what you didn't mention above was that you and your mate James are in the process of converting the SII ambulance into an expedition camper. Why not start a thread in the Land Rover section showing some shots (no pun intended) of the interior. Better still, as James did most of the conversion inside, get him to register here and tell us all about it himself.

cheers tom
i have started a thread on that section,
the interior is in the process of being re-done to iron out a few initial mistakes Laughing
The interior is from a caravan three reasons
1 ... cheap
2 ... fits perfect
3 ... everything is there for you ready

James doesn't do forums in his words "people on forums are to harsh simply because they are sat behind a pc screen"
all thanks to the Land Rover Addict forum Evil or Very Mad shame

cheers kieran
