I was going along to this until I looked into parking prices they want 26.50 to park all day.

I looked at going by train but from me it's a bloody nightmare cheapest way I found was drive to Tring get the overground but that not cheap may bite the bullet and pay for parking.

Only other thing that may keep me away is picking up a defender if I win it on eblag

Easy! Park at Westfield Shopping Centre for £8 all day.

BTW, it only costs £5 midweek, a good stepping stone if you have a weekday appointment in London, buy an £8 Travelcard and you're away! Mmmmmm, is everything in London £8 these days?

I digress ...

Westfield Shopping Centre
Ariel Way
White City
(NOTE: according to the website - when travelling to Westfield London, please enter the postcode W12 7SL into your SATNAV)
http://uk.westfield.com/london/getting-there/car

Out of Westfield Shopping Centre multi-story car park, walk south a couple of minutes down Ariel Way to bus stop. Catch 49 bus to Olympia, just off Kensington High Street. 5 minute ride. If unsure where to alight, ask driver to let you know when you get there. Sit near as possible to him/her. If they speak English they'll help. Razz www.notrog.plus.com/busroutes/placesindex/olympia.htm

Entry to exhibition not mega expensive either. £10 on the day, very reasonable in fact for an indoor event (£8 in advance - naturally!)

As it happens, I typed into Google - “bus from Westfield to Olympia”. Up came a website, but it didn't seem quite right as I didn't recognise any roads on the map ... then the penny dropped. It was Washington DC in the United States, Westfield Mall to the district of Olympia. Incredibly, it’s also on the No. 49 bus, you couldn’t make it up! Travelling via this route may cost a little more than £26.50 for the day.
